The Clock Is Still Ticking...
24 has always been a fast paced thriller, and while it may have faltered a bit towards the end of it's original run, it returns with a vengeance. 8 hours into this 12 episode season, the show has continued to build momentum, and has not stopped in this latest installment in the series. These past 8 hours have been full of action, suspense, intrigue, and wonderful performances from the whole cast.

So far I see this ranking among some of 24's best seasons, unless the final 4 episodes in this 24 hour day (there will be a 12 hour time jump at some point) take a steep drop in quality.

Here's hoping that doesn't come to pass. This review will be updated at some point after the end of the season.

Possibly the best 24 season yet.

When I heard that 24 was going to come back for a short season (and hopefully more) I was very excited but also worried because I didn't think that it was possible to top the ending of the 8th season. I am a very big 24 fan and can say that this is one of the best seasons, if not the best. 24 Live Another Day started out a little slow but got intense extremely fast. The ending was the best ending 24 has ever has in my opinion. This is a must buy for 24 fans.

For the last four years, there has been an on-again/off-again discussion about making Fox's groundbreaking action thriller 24 into a feature film. That idea kept falling apart though, and it's no wonder. The whole conceit of 24 is that it's a thriller that plays out in real time, and for a two-hour feature film, that just doesn't work. However, fans of the show, like myself, held out hope that we would see the death-defying adventures of former Federal Agent Jack Bauer (played with gusto each of the show's previous eight seasons with gusto by Kiefer Sutherland) once again in some form. Well, we got at least half of our wish. Show creators Howard Gordon and Robert Cochran, as well as executive producers Manny Coto, David Fury and Sutherland himself have created 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY, a 12-hour/12-episode mini series which brings Jack Bauer back for half of his usual day, but with more than likely, the same amount...

Weird, Warped, Wacky and oh so Wonderful
This is by far my favorite new show of 2011 (after Game of Thrones). In fact, it is one of my favorite shows period. The first episode confused me and will probably strike most people as flat out weird, but after the initial shock, you realize with each passing episode just how unique and compelling this show is.

American Horror story follows a family of three as they move into a new home called "Murder House" by the locals. Since the 1920's, people have been murdered in various ways and their spirits have stayed behind, trapped in the very place they died. In this case, the ghosts from all eras can take physical form as well as vanish in an instant. You slowly learn about the past of each spirit, which adds another element of depth.

The writing is always clever, twisted and surprising. I wouldn't call AHS scary (at least to me), but the music and visuals make for one of the creepiest viewing experiences I've ever had.

The cast is perfect in every way...
FINALLY a show to keep you on the edge of your seat!!

I was pretty OVER the crap on TV these days, with the limited few shows I like.. But then this came along. And I have something to look forward to on Wednesdays at 10. I haven't PLANNED to watch an episode of a TV show in AGES. It's about time!

It's also brilliantly done-- it's quirky, a little funny, definitely spooky, and make you jump at times-- Not to mention it's wicked sexy! One twist after another. Only four episodes in, and I'm HOOKED. Give me this show intravenously, I'm addicted to American Horror Story.

I've waited a long time for a show like American Horror Story. I think a lot of people have because it's so different from anything else on television. I would compare it's insanity to that of Nip/Tuck, which makes sense when you realize the same creators are behind it. The first episode will probably confuse most people, but stick with it. Each episode will answer questions from the previous ones and leave you with even more than the last. The cast is beyond superb. Jessica Lange as neighbor Constance is the homerun of the series for me. She plays that role with such conviction and is very deserving of the Emmy Award she won. The rest of the cast is top-notch as well, including Connie Britton (you may know her from Friday Night Lights) who's character is put through an emotional rollercoaster throughout the entire season.

This show plays off as creepy more than scary, but it works splendidly. American Horror Story is definitely out there. Sometimes you'll just scratch your...

Let's all say it together: GRAIN IS GOOD
I'm pretty shocked by the negative reviews of this set. Let's dispel some of the ranker untruths among them.

1. These are not 480p "DVD scans." These are 1080p scans of original film elements. These transfers look like film on your HD television. Each movie shows detail that a DVD simply could not. They have their problems, yes, but these are problems like print damage, contrast pulsing, or dated wipes and dissolves that degrade detail - problems that dog a lot of movies of this vintage. None of the problems are related to these transfers not being high definition.

2. These movies were shot in the 1.37:1 "Academy Ratio." It is simply not a valid criticism to complain that they are not widescreen. There is nothing to show on the sides of the frame. Would you prefer that the top and bottom of the frame be cut off so you can have a "zoomed" image on your television? I wouldn't.

3. Grain is a good thing. Grain is detail. Grain is what the emulsion layer of...
Reviewing wrong product

Many of the reviews are for a different Hitchcock package. This set has only 3 films: Rebecca, Notorious, Spellbound. And these 3 blu-rays are already just out individually at Sams Club. They are identical, have the same extras, and are only $9.98 each: why is Amazon charging so much when you can get them for about #30 at Sams Club, and get them NOW?

Some of These Reviewers Didn't See The Set

The quality of the blu rays in this set are great actually and thankfully it hasn't been DNRed to death.

Some of the reviewers on here haven't actually seen the set or they would know that each blu ray has a LOT of great features and isn't at all bare bones like some are claiming.

Review :
4-Disc Collector's Edition Analysis
I'm reviewing the 4-Disc Collector's Edition. I'll go through each disc individually to give you an idea of what you'll be getting, and which version you should purchase. But first, let's briefly discuss the movie itself.

If you haven't seen the film yet, you're still probably aware of the polarized reception it received. Some love it, some hate it. Instead of giving you another opinion on why it's the best/worst film ever, let me tell you what to expect. PROMETHEUS is not a horror film. Certainly it has structural similarities to ALIEN, and there is one scene that I would consider very "stressful." But overall, the film is what I would classify as a "concept drama." That is, a drama that doesn't focus on characters, but rather on concept. Don't let any of the tense trailers fool you, this movie was meant as a discussion piece, not an adrenaline rush. You can decide whether it succeeds or fails when you watch it yourself.

Onto the discs...
So much promise ruined by such slapdash writing!
The Good:
-There have been various opinions about the special effects. Personally, I thought the visuals and soundtrack were awesome. They definitely made me favorably disposed towards this film.
-Michael Fassbender is spellbinding.

The Bad:
The main problem with the entire film is that nobody (other than Michael Fassbender) has any plausible motivation for the majority of their behavior. As a result the entire movie is basically just an exercise in convenience, much like your modern B-movie horror flick.

Weyland immediately spends a few trillion on a space ship and fills it full of the most absurd band of miscreants he can find, plus one awesome android, plus himself (shhhh it's an unnecessary secret). American Horror Story was something very different when it debuted, and Season 1 succeeded in not only making an old-school horror tale work as a television series, it actually made a haunted house story that was creepy and utterly compelling. Both accomplishments were impressive. Other than the Walking Dead, when was the last time there's been a decent horror series that made it to season 2? And haunted houses... well, they've pretty much been demolished, and now reside in the pop culture scrapyard. The fact that they embraced the idea like they did, reinvigorating a tired sub-sub-genre with multi-generational narrative layering and out-of-left-field twists -- like the boy next door who turns out to be an undead school-shooter -- made the brilliance of the story even more impressive.

Asylum was arguably even better, but far darker. Watching it, I was continually amazed that the minds behind 'Glee' were responsible for the wonderfully twisted craziness that was unfolding:...
AHS knocks it out again with premiere episode. With all-star a list cast, can't wait for next episode
From the opening scene, Kathy Bates wows mean, gritty, gory depiction of Madame Delphine LaLaurie, as she tortures her slaves ":Because she can" , which takes you back to her Misery days, and gives another award-worthy disturbing, but amazing performance. Then on to Taissa Farmiga, brought back from season 1 as she discovers her power and gets swept off to special witch school in NOLA Hogwarts style. We have Jessica Lange as the Supreme witch, bringing her A-game again as an aging witch trying to gain back her youth, as she joins her daughter played by Sara Paulson (the potion creating witch), to "help" her at her special girls' school. We get a Mean Girls/Teen Witch snarkiness of young teenage witches meeting each other for the first time, with Emma Roberts, Gabare Sidibe (Award Nominee for Precious). Denis O'Hare as the strange mute butler. Also get brief glimpses in this episode of Evan Peters, Angela Bassett as our resident VooDoo Queen, and Francis Conroy. I think this...
American Horror Story Continues to Raise the Bar
American Horror Story: Coven premiered this week, and boy did it come back with a bang! If one thing was made clear by the opening episode, it's that this season will be continuing, and increasing, the series trend of "can they really show this on TV!?" Now if you like happy little fairy tales, then you might not find this show appealing. But if you like horror that's dark, and brutal, and at times sickening, then boy is this the show for you.

I love the set up for this season so far, and I'm happy to see so many of the cast that we love so much back again (although I'm still hoping to see Zachary Quinto and Dylan McDermott).

Now all this said, you can't judge the whole season by a single episode, so I'll be coming back once a week to edit and update this review as necessary as the season progresses.

I would especially encourage those who stream or torrent the episodes to buy the set, in order to support the series. Not that the show is hurting for...

American Horror Story Continues to Raise the Bar
American Horror Story: Coven premiered this week, and boy did it come back with a bang! If one thing was made clear by the opening episode, it's that this season will be continuing, and increasing, the series trend of "can they really show this on TV!?" Now if you like happy little fairy tales, then you might not find this show appealing. But if you like horror that's dark, and brutal, and at times sickening, then boy is this the show for you.

I love the set up for this season so far, and I'm happy to see so many of the cast that we love so much back again (although I'm still hoping to see Zachary Quinto and Dylan McDermott).

Now all this said, you can't judge the whole season by a single episode, so I'll be coming back once a week to edit and update this review as necessary as the season progresses.

I would especially encourage those who stream or torrent the episodes to buy the set, in order to support the series. Not that the show is hurting for...

Burn, Witch, Burn
American Horror Story was something very different when it debuted, and Season 1 succeeded in not only making an old-school horror tale work as a television series, it actually made a haunted house story that was creepy and utterly compelling. Both accomplishments were impressive. Other than the Walking Dead, when was the last time there's been a decent horror series that made it to season 2? And haunted houses... well, they've pretty much been demolished, and now reside in the pop culture scrapyard. The fact that they embraced the idea like they did, reinvigorating a tired sub-sub-genre with multi-generational narrative layering and out-of-left-field twists -- like the boy next door who turns out to be an undead school-shooter -- made the brilliance of the story even more impressive.

Asylum was arguably even better, but far darker. Watching it, I was continually amazed that the minds behind 'Glee' were responsible for the wonderfully twisted craziness that was unfolding:...

From the opening scene, Kathy Bates wows mean, gritty, gory depiction of Madame Delphine LaLaurie, as she tortures her slaves ":Because she can" , which takes you back to her Misery days, and gives another award-worthy disturbing, but amazing performance. Then on to Taissa Farmiga, brought back from season 1 as she discovers her power and gets swept off to special witch school in NOLA Hogwarts style. We have Jessica Lange as the Supreme witch, bringing her A-game again as an aging witch trying to gain back her youth, as she joins her daughter played by Sara Paulson (the potion creating witch), to "help" her at her special girls' school. First, let me start by saying I love the Die Hard movies. So when I saw this collection on BD, I just couldn't refuse!

You already know the movies, so let's get to the overall package.

Positives:

2009 version replaced with this 2013 version
This review was for the original Die Hard Collection released in 2009, not the recent 25th Anniversary Collection released in 2013. So this review below is for the 2009 set, not the 2013 set. I do not own the 2013 set (25th Anniversary Collection). Check when other reviews were written by other members to see if they posted recent reviews for the 2013 edition.

When I think Blu-ray, I expect high quality video and sound, otherwise there is no point to buying a blu-ray version of an already existing dvd.
The first two movies, Die Hard 1 & 2 from the 80's, look terrible visually. FOX did a horrible job in re-mastering these for blu-ray, or they did not re-master them at all. It is possible they used the regular dvd's and just up-converted them without remastering/restoring them digitally. Sound is decent. The third film, Die Hard with a Vengeance is more recent from the 90's, but it doesn't look great. The fourth film does look good and sounds great, but it would be...
Die Hard 25th Anniversary Collection on Blu Ray
Tons of plot summaries and opinions on which movies were better than the others to be found elsewhere so I just provide reviews of the quality of the transfers from SD to the Blu Ray editions found in this collection. I have the SD collection of these but no previous BR versions so this will not be a side by side comparison. Before I continue, this review is for the 25th Anniversary Collection on Blu Ray. Amazon mixes up so many of the collections and formats one might not know which review is for which. There will be some, I am sure, who will perhaps disagree with some of my evaluations, however, disagreements can sometimes be created simply based upon the monitor and theater system that one uses. My home theater is fairly esoteric and of very high quality, glad I bought it when I still had a job.

Packaging: Book type of disc holder which certainly takes up less room on your shelf. Unfortunately, the pages each separate disc goes into are made of smooth cardboard...

Boasting enigmatic performances from both Liam Neeson and Forest Whitaker, Tak3n manages to still be a considerably good movie
I'll be honest, I have both Taken and Taken 2 in my collection. I did not really see a need for a 3rd, but we all know movie studios (namely Fox) capitalize off of a franchise they see to be successful. And that being said we have the movie Tak3n.

Tak3n brings back Bryan Mills who again is trying to live a normal life. Bryan's ex-wife Lenore is having second thoughts about her current marriage to Stuart-and beginning to rekindle her feelings toward Bryan. After Bryan later receives a text from Lenore requesting to meet at his place to bring bagels, Bryan buys the bagels and arrives home; but what he arrives home to is something not even he saw coming.

Liam Neeson is fantastic once again as the character Bryan Mills. Possessing both uncanny intelligence and elite fighting skills, he shows an unstoppable determination to solve the mystery of the movie. Maggie Grace does a great job too as his daughter Kim-which in all the movies, I think the bond they share gives...
Just watch; don't think about it.
Let me start off by saying I enjoyed Taken 3 much more than Taken 2. But it suffers from the same problem that all three of the movies have. While action movies are not really intended to be held up to close scrutiny and deep thought, this one stretches and snaps the limits of credibility. Brian Mills is a walking Dooms Day Machine. In this movie, he leaves a trail of wrecked cars, destroyed buildings, shot up bodies (living and dead), and angry cops (though he is very careful not to shoot any cops). As long as this was happening overseas, it was easier to rationalize. But happening in LA it doesn't work as well. Without revealing the resolution, at the end of the movie he and the detective shake hands and he goes his merry way. While he may not have committed the murder (no spoiler, it is in the ads) he still broke 1000 other laws in the process. The movie is great for into the eyes, pass through the brain entertainment, but don't retain any of the information or it all falls...
HIS LIFE IS TAK3N AWAY

People will never give a good movie a chance if it's either a sequel or it comes off a not so good last movie. But seriously people!?!?! This was a great movie, still not better then the first Taken but still great. I assume you know what happens because we have all seen it in the trailer. People make jokes, What's getting taken this time? Well to answer, nobody physically is being taken. HIS LIFE is being Taken. That was the purpose of this movie. 1st Movie-Kim, 2nd-Lenny, 3rd-HIS LIFE. And that is something I really didn't think of when this movie was in the works and I was generally surprised. The acting in this movie is great and the detective was cool to watch. The only really negative I can say is the ending of this movie, I mean it was okay but I wish it was longer. But regardless, still a great movie and BUY IT!

THIS YEAR'S SLEEPER
I was taken in by the opening credits as an outline of a brain turns into a city. I am a big sucker for that microcosm/ macrocosm stuff.

Edward has writer's block. He has a book contract for some reason, yet hasn't written a word. His girlfriend, who was his meal ticket leaves him. Bummed out he decides to go live on a bunk bed at Dad's place in New Jersey, but then bumps into his ex-brother-in-law, who is a drug dealer. He offers Edward a pill that increases a person's use of their brain. They can recall everything they have seen or read and can correlate it to increase intelligence. The smarter a person is to begin with, the more data they have to work with. Edward is a smart guy to begin with, so he is able to start his book. The downside is that the pill wears off. Not only does one lose the abilities, but they get a little ADD, and throw up like a heroin addict. Too much of the pill causes a Mr. Hyde type of character including blackouts. Edward's supplier is murdered...
Must see for action junkies!!!

When we watched the preview we were drawn in by the action and with Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro we figured it had to be good. We really liked the storyline and how Bradley Cooper uses being limitless to maximize his potential and with De Niro as the bad guy it just clicks, especially with the chemistry these guys have. This movie is filled with twists and turns over a pill that lets Cooper use 100% of his brain and of course what will happen when the pills run out? This movie definitely delivered on our expectations and if you like action movies it should exceed yours as well......

Unique Plot & Entertaining
A blocked writer (played by Bradley Cooper) with average intelligence and a very low drive for success comes into possession of an unreleased drug that makes him a super genius. The movie's premise is that we only use a very small percentage of our brains, and the drug gets the body to use 100% of the brain.

In the movie, the writer only has a limited supply of the drug with no way to get more. The plot thickens since the drug has side effects and others are after his supply.

If I could give half stars, I'd give this movie a 4 1/2. It was very good, and definitely worth seeing, but there have been some movies more deserving of the full 5 stars. Still, this movie has a lot going for it. Here what's good:

The Slow Burn of a Not-So-Cold War
I really like where this second season may be heading. As our Cold War-waging americans and russians vindictively throw logs on the fire, Elizabeth is evolving into a more emotionally nuanced character. In the Season 1 finale Philip risked his own life to save Elizabeth's. And I believe this act of loyalty won Elizabeth over, letting loose intense emotions that she may need to grapple with this season. Have to wait and see.
The slow burn of intimate and difficult relationships may be what sets The Americans apart from other TV dramas out there right now. A lot of them avoid exploring intimacy and instead go into overdrive with personality twists or convoluted plotlines that can become ridiculous. But so far, with the backdrop of the cat and mouse game of "Cold War", The Americans has chosen a more provocative path to suspense. (But don't worry action lovers. I bet there are plenty of car chases in the Jennings' future: Philip's alter-ego as James Bond can't be suppressed for...
Worth every moment of your time

I loved season 1 and the second season matched the quality of the first. The characters are fascinating, the build-up slow, detailed, and expertly executed, and the disguises are once again integral and fantastic so you will not be disappointed.

2011 was a great year for television, with lots of established shows doing some of their best work ever. creaky Bones but still with flashes of awesome
So, hey, where did the time go? I blinked, and Bones is heading into its tenth season. Season 9 was another eventful sauce, but that sauce is covering up some stale meat. The showrunner messed around and somehow ended up with 24 episodes. I can't gloss over that there's a discernable creak now in the Bones machine. It's long in the tooth, son. And yet enough bits of awesome went down that it's got me anticipating like mad this upcoming September.

The show's humble brag has always rested on this one thing: that the mystery of the week serves to accent what's going on in the characters' lives. The corpses are always introduced in gristly, grotesque fashion, and there's morbid fun in that, and I've always appreciated the dark comic undertones. But let's not front: we couldn't care less about the weekly parade of suspects or whodunit. We're drawn to how OUR characters react and interact with the murder case as a backdrop.

I gave this season and all other seasons before it a 5star rating because this is hands down my favorite show. I love how they go into details with both main couples on the show, everyone's favorite couple is normally Booth and Bones but mine is Hodgins and Angela, they are so great together and they make you wish that you had that kind of marriage. I love how they insert Pelant in the show, he does a great drop all the way back to season 7 as the serial killer to catch. If they could pull out at least 2 more seasons out of their hats i would be incredibly happy. I love the forensics and even the drama the insert into the show. They have steered away from the reason in why they did this show, Kathy Reichs, but it has turned into quite an amazing show. I'm so glad that they finally get married, kind of sad for Hodgins and Angela as they lose all of their money to save a bunch of kids from being attacked by a drone. Nine Things About the Movie "Poltergeist"

1. This movie isn't completely terrible. But it is a perfect example of the fact that just because you CAN remake a classic movie doesn't mean you SHOULD.

2. The original 1982 "Poltergeist" became a kind of template for the next 30 years of haunted house movies - it's been copied countless times. So this bland paint-by-number remake seems like a copy of a copy (if you seriously don't know the plot, it's about a family that moves into a house. This is a great movie! The problem with all these bad reviews is that they saw the movie expecting a bad remake of the original. The movie didn't ruin the experience, THEY did. Watch the movie, not as a sequel, not as a remake, but as it's own movie. Have an open mind. No, the girl isn't named Carol Ann. You know why? Because it's NOT Carol Ann.

No need for a remake!
Talk about a movie that did NOT need to be remade?! Kind of makes you wonder what moron's are giving the "green light" to these movies when there are perfectly good, ORIGINAL ideas?!

For starters, if you can't create something better than the original, then don't even bother. Poltergeist (1982) was perfectly cast and honestly had all the visuals you need (even in todays world of over-CGI'd everything). The new version cuts out a lot of what made the original as great as it was. You simply can't replace Zelda Rubinstein. She (along with Craig T. Nelson), is what made the original so entertaining! While "some" of the acting was ok (Sam Rockwell), they dumbed the story into a coma inducing, 93 minute snoozefest! I couldn't tell you how many times I found myself looking at the clock wondering when this was going to be over?

A Thrilling Sci-Fi Adventure!
The Maze Runner is one of my favorite YA novels and I was a bit worried about how it would translate it to the screen. Though The Maze Runner takes liberties with its source material, these alterations were extremely necessary to make the story faster paced and work on a visual level. This is definitely one of the best YA adaptations I've ever seen and it's no surprise to me that the producers of this film were also involved in the making of The Fault In Our Stars film.

The special effects in this film are incredibly well-done and the filmmakers brought Dashner's novel to light perfectly. The Grievers weren't quite what I expected, they were frankly even better and more horrifying than I could ever imagine. I'm so glad that they only hinted at the creatures in the promos because it will just add a layer of mystery and horror to audiences' movie experience.

Homeland became its own show in season 4 and no longer an offshoot of that Israeli series
I didn't expect to like this season but I did. I ruefully had to admit that much as I love Damian's Lewis's acting talent, his part on this series had gone as far as it could go. What we picked up with instead is Carrie actually stationed in the Middle East as a station boss. Firsthand we experience what a mess we've got on our hands over there.

The original "Homeland" was derived from an Israeli series as its source material. That Israeli series had dealt with POWs coming back to Israel after a hostage exchange. It never moved off of its focus on the hostages and the wars in the Middle East. This show, by contrast, has completely jettisoned the Brody hostage scenario and now is solely concerned with being CIA and stuck with and in the Middle East. Quinn now has a much bigger role as part of this. So Homeland became its own show in season 4 and no longer an offshoot of that Israeli series. I like it better for that.

There are some truly startling moments...

I thought season 4 started off a little slow but by the third episode, I was hooked and can't wait for the next episode. The "in your face" occurences just blow my mind. After spending much time in the middle east and Afghanistan, I started reading up on Pakistan and the tightrope we walk to keep our access to the Kyber Pass. Amazing, relevant, thought-provoking stuff and just great TV!

Reinventing Itself On The Fly

Coming into this fourth season of Homeland, my expectations really couldn't have been any lower. After a rollercoaster third season where the finale really felt like a series finale rather than a season finale, I didn't know what to expect from a show that seemed like it was starting back from square one. After a few episodes of finding its way, however, this season really kicks into high gear and proves that (though rare) a show can sometimes re-invent itself on the fly.

Now in season seven, they've embraced their love, bought a house together, and are eagerly awaiting the birth of their child. Due to real-world medical logistics, the season is truncated to 13 episodes (don't be alarmed; four extra episodes will be part of season eight to round things out). Apart from the newest wrinkle, the format hasn't changed. The grisly murder mysteries and their procedural backbones are still pleasantly highlighted by the same lightheartedness between the crime-fighting duo and their motley supporting pals in the laboratory and administrative offices. That's kind of where the less-than-stellar stories hit a dip, simply because of the sheer repetitiveness of the narratives and accompanying banter. But Bones is certainly a long way from being dead. The episode "The Crack in the Code" was the last one produced before Deschanel's maternity leave, and it introduces a new supervillain after a horrifically encrypted code is found in the remains of a body left dramatically draped over an exhibit at a museum in Washington, DC. Christopher Pelant (Andrew Leeds) is a psychotic genius and convicted computer hacker who seems to have a perfect alibi while he also seems to be the obvious perpetrator. Pelant is a fascinating character and perfect foil for the Bones crew to grapple with. He reappears in the sort-of cliffhanger final episode, "The Past in the Present," as a brilliant fiend who could be the downfall of the entire Bones team, especially Booth. (He returns in the season-eight premiere and will almost certainly be back as the latest and greatest criminal mind Bones and Booth have ever faced down.) Other standout episodes are "The Prisoner in the Pipe," about a criminal who appears to have escaped prison after his murder, and "The Twist in the Twister," about the suspicious demise of a storm chaser. The most fun comes in "The Suit on the Set," which takes place in Hollywood, where a movie crew is filming an adaptation of Bones's new book about her work at the fictional Jeffersonian Institute Forensic Sciences Department, an interesting self-referential concept. When Booth and Bones are visiting the set, the fake corpse turns out to be real, so they are enlisted to solve the mystery for real. Fans will all have their favorite supporting character among the geeky, goofy, or lovable group back at the institute, notably forensic artist Angela Montenegro (Michaela Conlin), entomologist and conspiracy theorist Dr. Jack Hodgins (T.J. Thyne), or the boss and chief pathologist Dr. Camille Saroyan (Tamara Taylor). The thing that has differentiated Bones from shows like Criminal Minds, NCIS, or the CSI franchise is the heart it brings to the ensemble and their many-faceted personal lives, which often intersect. Combined with the gruesome shock value, jargony procedural qualities, brainy dialogue, touching love stories, and mysterious murders, Bones continues to be a lively affair about people you genuinely want to spend time with. Booth & Bones Are Expecting! Plot Twist Reinvigorates the Show
This refreshingly *different* season of Bones is gearing up to be one of the series' best! It is just the reinvigoration the show needed!

Life has changed at the Jeffersonian since we last saw our favorite crime-solvers. After last season's pregnancy bombshell of an ender, we pick up with forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan entering her third trimester, hormones all over the place as she bumbles in that adorable way that only Brennan can into the frightening role of motherhood. As always, her partner FBI Agent Seeley Booth is there by her side, more loving and more happy than we've ever seen him. Having them together romantically (FINALLY), is a joy I'm still unable to get over :) It feels... natural. It almost makes you wonder, why wasn't it always this way? (Also makes you forget the angsty love triangle of season 6 ever even happened! Hannah who? ;p)

While the season was only 13 episodes long, because of Emily Deschanel's pregnancy and Fox's desire to test "The Finder", it managed to cram in some huge changes - and big plotlines - into that short season.

With the start of the season, we saw Brennan and Booth both adjusting to their new life together, awaiting the birth of their child. We also saw them let go of the last vestiges of their single lives and find a ramshackle home (which, with Wendall's FAST off screen help!) to move into. With the birth of their daughter, Christine, came a new sense of family.

For many episodes, the family angle was played up. Some might even say it was played up *too much*, but with tonight's finale, I think there was a point to it, so I can understand the reasoning, even if I felt the season was drama light.
