The Big Lebowski is on my top ten list of all time best films. I've seen A LOT of films by the way. I don't need to explain to anyone why this movie is so brilliant, and why it continues to be a cultural phenomenon. I mention these things first because I don't want people to feel like I'm giving the film one star. If I could I would give the movie 100 stars. What I'm giving such a poor review for is my distaste for movie studios pumping out special editon dvd's every few years because they know a film has a huge following. This new "bowling ball" edition of Lebowski is further proof that Universal has nothing but contempt for the fans of Big Lebowski. They wrap it up in a nice big package and make it look slick, but that's as far as the creativity goes into supplying anything new in terms of extras. One of those change-your-life movies
"The Big Lebowski" is just perfect. Everything about this movie is a laugh riot, even the bits of dialogue that aren't punchlines. The cast is perfect, the writing is perfect... this movie has both Julianne Moore and Flea in it, what other movies can you say that about? Well, there was the Gus Van Sant "Psycho" remake, but that doesn't count. I found this movie by accident and I haven't let go of it since. I may not be a stoner but I will say I've found more happiness since I embraced my inner Dude.

Every time I go back to "Lebowski" I come away with something new that wasn't there before. Like the realization, this time around, that Jeff Bridges is not seen to throw a single bowling ball in the entire movie. And that Steve Buscemi's character rolls a strike every time we see him... except for the very final scene, for reasons that become clear a few moments later.

The rest of the cast is just superb. Remember Philip Seymour Hoffman as an unctuous PR man...

The Most Awesome DVD Ever Created. Trash The Old Disk!
This new "Ultimate Edition DVD" of Terminator 2 Judgement Day, one of the biggest box office smashes of all time, is truly The Ultimate Edition. Unless you get this outside of the US (which I did) you have two disks. One disk is the movie (THREE versions of the movie, in fact), and the next disk is all the special features. And it takes DAYS getting through every feature. I mean, three documentary, 8 trailers and TV spots, an entire script, interviews that you can access separately, and 52 chapters of behind the scenes footage, from makeup to visual effects, from editing to restoring deleted scenes. There are so many special features, this is what DVD was made for! You can also look at the original drawings of certain scenes, awesome!!!!
However, I find the real highlight of this disk (or disks) to be the movie itself, I mean WOW!!! You get three, I repeat, three, versions of the movie. One is the original theatrical version, featuring no cut out scenes (the worst), the...
Technical issue with Blu-Ray Disc - A Theory
This review is not about the movie itself or the special features on the blu-ray disc - there are many other reviwes who already covered that part. For that I gave the movie the rating of 5 stars.

This review is about technical issues some users and reviewers seem to have (which included myself)

I think I figured out what the issue with the disc not playing on certain blu-ray disc players is - here we go:

First let me explain that several movie companies (Warner Bros., Paramount, Universal, ... etc.) at times offer a feature on their blu-ray discs which is called "BD Live".
BD Live is a special feature which offers additional online content, accessible from the Internet through your Blu-Ray Disc Player.
Usually this feature is optional and you can access it through the Special Features section on the disc or it has its own category on the disc menue.

However it means that your Blue Ray Disc Player needs to be "BD Live ready" to be...
I'll Tell You How to Get A Different Ending!!!!

OK If you go to the menu, where it will say "Play Theatrical Version" and "Play Special Edition", using your remote control, type in (you may have to press enter in-between each number) 82997 (that's EIGHT TWO NINE NINE SEVEN). Then the "Play Special Edition" option will change to "Play Extended Special Edition" and you get two more added scenes. One where the T-1000 searches John Connor's room, and a different ending set in the future!

I like it due to its offshoot of NCIS. The characters don't just stand around and let the cases solve themselves, they go out there and don't stop until they find the answers they are looking for. I hope its around for many more seasons to come. I definitely recommend it.

TAKING ON TERRORISTS
When it comes to watching TV it seems there is better programming on these days than ever. Even compared to what folks consider the golden age of television there seem to be more shows on worth watching now then at that time. Even the spin offs, programs that link themselves to already hit shows have gotten better. Case in point, NCIS LOS ANGELES.

I was never a big fan of the original series NCIS (which stands for Naval Criminal Investigative Service) that took a look at the investigative unit for the Navy and Marines that focused on crimes committed involving either or. When I got around to watching it on DVD I realized why it was such a hit show and that folks were watching. With the success CBS had in generating 2 spin off shows in their CSI franchise it only made sense they'd try the same here. But NCIS LOS ANGELES while similar is completely different.

Brilliant movie about the flaws in the justice system, and one man who tries to correct them. I love this movie. I say A+
How far would you go to correct a wrong? After agreeing to take on a case he assumes is an easy win Mickey (McConaughey) soon learns appearances are deceiving. When he finds out the truth and tries to expose it his friends and family are put at risk. I have to admit I actually think McConaughey is very good at playing parts like this. As in "Time To Kill" and "Two For The Money". The smooth man pushed to the edge. Saying almost anything about the movie will give too much info away but I will admit that after being in the "Movie Business" for over 10 years I've seen enough that it's very hard for me to be surprised at a movies ending. The twist at the end of this one had me totally thrown and I love when that happens. I had high expectations for this and it surpassed them all. Watch this movie, you will not regret it. I loved it. The Lincoln Lawyer was a refreshing film for two paramount reasons: it's one of the top films of the year and its Matthew McConaughey's best performance to date. I generally like McConaughey movies but he's played a lot of goofballs.

More often than not he's a buffoon or a slacker who has beautiful women flocking to him and we never question it because he's Matthew McConaughey. The ladies in his films never question it for this same reason and because he usually has his shirt off. But here he's charming, intelligent, slick, and meticulously perfect at everything; particularly the work he does...
Good old-fashioned legal thriller
This legal thriller is a refreshing break from all of the mindless, style-over-substance 3D fare Hollywood is churning out lately. It's a throwback to the days of classic courtroom dramas and police procedurals, with enough interesting twists and turns to keep eyeballs glued to the screen. Matthew McConaughey is superbly cast as the smooth operator lawyer. The rest of the casting is also exceptional, down to some of the bit parts like the bail bondsman, the jailhouse snitch, the biker, and the busted hooker. (I especially appreciated William H. Macy as the private investigator; I do wish that Marisa Tomei had a meatier role that allowed her to shine as she did in "My Cousin Vinny.") Michael Connelly is one of the best current authors in the hard-boiled police procedural genre, and the adaptation stays pretty true to his spirit. Suck it!

Best show on TV. My kids and I love it! It's the only show I buy on Amazon because we don't have cable. Hulu Plus and Netflix take care of anything else we want to watch. Every actor on the show is phenomenal. We laugh every episode. Season 8 rocks so far. Thanks to the cast for creating the best show on TV!

This season fell short :(
I own all of the season of Psych along with Psych: The Musical, and season 8 has fallen short of the typical humor. The last episode of the season is the best. The lack of all of the characters really affected the overall enjoyability of the episodes. Gus's character became a bit more "silly" in a not so positive way. Due to this, Shawn's character also appeared even more ridiculous. Again, I found this to be due in large part to the lack of the regular characters on the show. I missed Juliet, Karen, and Henry. I understand that the actors were all busy with other endeavors, but, in that case, it would have been nice to end the show sooner so that the show would have ended on a positive note. Those that say this last season was just as good as the pervious seasons is simply not watching the same show as I was watching. It went from ten funny, memorable lines an episode to about one to two per episode. Still, I am a huge Psych-O and will continue re-watching all of the...
Can't believe it's the last season

Psych is my favorite program, and it hurts to think that it's coming to an end. One of the funniest and most creative shows to ever air on television, I own all of the seasons on DVD and greatly enjoy watching the evolution of its characters and plots. It will be extremely interesting to watch how the writers conclude the series. I highly recommend Psych (all seasons) to everyone who enjoys laughing as well as mystery.

Worth the upgrade? Probably.
Previous to this 'Most Wanted Edition' release, Disney had released a Gold Collection version. Having seen the two head to head, the Most Wanted is definitely a worthwhile purchase, though purists may wish to hang onto their Gold Collection Edition.

For those interested in the movie's plot (though if you don't know it by now), this 1973 Disney film follows the adventures of the classic Robin Hood story (though all the characters have been replaced by Disney animal versions), where he and his pal Little John are constantly thwarting the plans of Prince John, his servant Sir Hiss, and the rotten Sheriff of Nottingham. It doesn't follow the original legend too closely, but then, Robin Hood is a walking, talking fox, so don't expect historical accuracy. Made during Disney's less 'talked about' era (the void between Disney's untimely death and the song stylings of Elton John), the film is still a delight for adults and children. At least, I like it, but critics and animation...
A Good Transfer of a Good Film
Firstly, those who have complained about the aspect ratio are partially correct. This film was drawn in 4:3 BUT it was shown in widescreen when it was exhibited to the public upon its initial release. While it is true that some of the material is missing primarily from the top of the cell, the film was drawn so that that area could be missed. I must give credit to Disney for delving into their own history and discovering how each film was exhibited. Take a look at the recent reissue of The Fox and the Hound to prove this point. They could have cropped that film into widescreen but did not because it was shown in 4:3 originally.

As to the transfer, it is quite good and much improved over the Gold Collection release. The colors are crisper and there are less artifacts that can be seen.

There have been dozens of movies and television shows that capitalize on the legend of Robin Hood. This version is clever and funny, and the music of country music legend Roger Miller makes this movie one for everyone to watch.

Everyone knows the tale of Robin Hood. Forced to be an outlaw, though always loyal to King Richard, Robin Hood fought against the usurper Prince John. Robin Hood sheltered and protected poor people and redistributed wealth from the rich to the needy poor. Robin Hood performed these deeds from his base in Sherwood Forest.

A Lot Of New Blood
It’s always fun to see “the old gang” get back together. The Toy Story characters have so endeared themselves to our hearts that there is an automatic connection with them every time they appear on screen. In “Toy Story That Time Forgot”, some new blood is introduced.

For a basic plot summary, this little short tells the story of a Christmas playdate at a friend of Bonnie’s. While at the friend’s house, Bonnie is sucked into playing a new videogame instead of playing with the toys. So, Woody, Buzz, and the gang must “go it alone” and interact with a new set of dinosaur toys (led by Reptillus Maximus) that still don’t yet know they are toys.

Charming study of childhood play

We had dvr'd this for our 4 year old granddaughter in December of '14 and she has watched it frequently since then. It is thoroughly charming, with a certain depth about childhood play that all the Toy Story films have. This one manages so much in a short.
