An Ambitious Adaptation That May Not Satisfy Everyone That Loved The Book, But Still Proves To Be Entertaining
I always experience a fair amount of excitement, as well as trepidation, when I hear that one of my favorite novels is being adapted into a TV show or movie. That is certainly the case with Ken Follett's sprawling, unforgettable and absolutely massive "World Without End." The hardcover is such a doorstop in size, but I was genuinely connected to the characters and consider it an almost perfect reading experience. Ostensibly a sequel of sorts to "Pillars of the Earth" (they are set in the same location approximately two centuries apart), it is interesting to note that "Pillars" received the mini-series treatment from the Starz network in 2010. The fledgling Reelz network picked up this 8-part 2012 adaptation of "World Without End" for its broadcast debut. Reelz made a name for itself when it bought the mini-series "The Kennedys" after the History Channel bowed to pressures not to air it, and they picked up a basket full of Emmys for that decision. Here they team with Tony (RIP)...
If you have read the book, think twice....
This movie is SO incredibly different from the book. In fact, I could not even watch it all the through because I found the differences to be so distracting. On the other hand, what I did see seemed to be a fairly decent production. The acting was not bad, and the sets were tolerable. If you have not read the book AND like historical miniseries, I would say that you will probably enjoy this movie. If you have read the book, save your time. You will NOT like it at all.

A terrible adaptation and a disappointing standalone
I am a huge Ken Follett fan and would probably consider "Pillars of the Earth" my favorite book of all time. Loved "World Without End" almost just as much. I thought the Pillars TV adaptation was fantastic and did the book justice. When I heard that WWE was getting adapted, I was thoroughly excited.

Sadly, my first clue should have been that this series did not air on Starz as Pillars did, with Starz's budget. It aired here in the U.S. on the Reelz Channel and looked every bit as cheap and low budget as you would think. Production values aside, the book was just horribly adapted. I always expect some liberties to be taken when translating a novel from words to film, but the amount of liberties taken here were absolutely ridiculous. Entire plots and entire characters were changed, minimized, or disappeared altogether.

Having accepted the fact that things were going to be changed, I tried to rewatch the series and tell myself to consider it as a standalone...

The digital copy is a nice touch as well
This box set is legit. Not only boasting numerous hours of extra features, it includes the original film in both 2D and 3D bluray, Lost World in bluray and Jurassic III in bluray. The case includes slots for the upcoming bluray release of Jurassic World for both 2D and 3D. The digital copy is a nice touch as well. It allows you to sync the ultraviolet copy to a number of video streaming services such as VUDU and FLIXTER. It also allows you to add to your itunes library. Would highly recommend!

Lost World needs work.
Pretty decent. Nice package. The extra slots for Jurassic World is pretty cool. The transfer for Jurassic Park 2 was pretty bad though.
It just didn't look good compared to the other two.

Great Set!!!
Nice set love it great movies all put into one set it's also nice that they include slots for Jurassic World so that its a complete set great special features and sound is amazing if your a Jurassic Park fan or just a dinosaur fan you will love this set can't wait for Jurassic World!!!

This type of subject Offer exceeded own anticipation, that one has turned into a great buy for me personally, The theory appeared correctly and also quickly Dragon Ball Z: Season 7 (Great Saiyaman & World Tournament Sagas)

Seven years of peace have passed since the defeat of the monstrous Cell, and the Z-Fighters have enjoyed a return to normal life. Goku has eagerly continued his training in Other World, Krillin has gotten married, and Gohan has renewed his scholarly pursuits while attempting to navigate the pitfalls of high school. Two fresh new Saiyan faces have also appeared on the scene—Goku’s son Goten, and Vegeta’s son Trunks!

Now, the time has come for the Z-Fighters to reunite, as the new World Martial Arts Tournament is set to begin. The greatest warriors on Earth have come together for their chance to capture the title of the reigning champion, Mr. Satan—but behind the scenes, sinister forces are at work. An evil eye watches the competitors’ every move, waiting for the opportune moment to strike. The action grows fierce on the tournament floor, but for the Z-Fighters, the real fight is only just beginning!

Stills from Dragon Ball Z: Season Seven (Click for larger image)

Seven years have passed since the tournament in which Gohan defeated Cell. Goku remains in the Next World, rather than risk attracting more evil beings to Earth, but he cheerfully trains under the watchful eye of King Kai (and the other Kais). After years of studying under his mother's tutelage, Gohan enters high school. Although he's awkward around his fellow students, he uses his incredible powers to fight crime in the nearby city as "Great Saiyaman." His feats of daring-do bring him into conflict with martial arts champion, crime fighter, and classmate Videl, the daughter of the obnoxious Mr. Satan. Their rivalry quickly turns into a maladroit mutual attraction. When a new tournament is announced, Gohan begins training himself and his seven-year-old brother Goten. Most of the season is devoted to the preparations for the tournament and its first rounds: Goku returns to Earth for one day to participate; Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin, Android 18, Gohan, Videl, Goten, and Trunks all enter, with Mr. Satan ranked as the defending champion. Most of the story is silly, even by the undemanding standards of Dragon Ball Z, and fans generally regard this season as an interlude between the "Cell" and "Majin Buu" sagas. The latter begins in the final episodes, as two over-muscled thugs in the service of the evil wizard Babidi steal energy from Gohan's Super-Saiyan form. They hope to release the horrible monster Buu, the creation of Babidi's father Bibidi. Ranked against them are the Z Fighters, the Supreme Kai and his attendant Kibit. Review :
Great Saiyaman!!
Season 7 takes place after the drool-worthy ending to the Cell games in which Gohan obliterates Cell with his one-handed Kamehameha wave.

Now a few years later Gohan is ready to start High School which means no more home school from Chi Chi.

However, directly before this Goku takes part in a filler martial arts tournament from beyond the grave and we get to see Frieza, King Cold, The Ginyu Force and even Cell again one more time. The final battle of the tournament is Goku (duh) vs. Pikkon under supervision of the Grand Kai. This part honestly has nothing to do with the overall plot of the series and was just a filler section before the next arc starts.

Back to Gohan (and the actual story). Gohan is on his way to school, sees a robbery, and transforms to a SSJ to beat his enemies in a flash.

Now the whole town is going on about the "Gold Fighter". So, in order to draw attention from his new superhero Gohan creates another superhero with a...
Loved the Great Saiyaman arc but some may have problems with the three episodes per disc (disc 4-6)
I have to admit that I'm a bit biased towards the "Dragon Ball Z" anime series. I loved the series when it was first release in Japan and still passionate about it today.

The fact that FUNimation Entertainment releases these season box sets with plenty of episodes (25 in this box set) for under $30 is just awesome! Could you imagine that just several years ago, the series was released with only a few episodes per disc (and there are literally a few hundred episodes of DBZ) and were sold for under $20 at one time. So, the fact that you can watch all these episodes with digitally remastered video and revised audio is just great!

As for this box set, personally I enjoyed the Great Saiyaman arc. We watched little Gohan grow up and now he is a teenager and although he doesn't know it yet, he has met someone he cares about and willing to help her no matter what. The chemistry between Gohan and Bedil is just awesome and episodes just focusing on these two were just...
Hopefully Helpful Information
This isn't supposed to be released until next week as of my writing this but i stumbled across a copy that must have shipped early and made it to the shelves at my local walmart earlier tonight. This season contains the following 25 episodes:

195 Warriors of the Dead- Goku meets Grand Kai and runs into Cell & Frieza Again
196 Tournament Begins- Goku enters another world tournament
197 Water Fight- Other World Tournament plays out, quarter finals
198 Final Round- Other world tournament heats up, final round begins
200 Goku vs. Pikkon- Other world tournament ends, will Goku or Pikkon win

This type of thing delivers exceeded own prospect, that one has chaned into a amazing upgrade on me personally, The idea came properly along with swiftly The Secret World of Arrietty

Discover THE SECRET WORLD OF ARRIETTY where imagination comes to life! The studio that brought you PONYO and the Academy Award(R)-winning SPIRITED AWAY (2002, Best Animated Feature) once again delivers a heartwarming tale of friendship and courage in beautiful animation! In a secret world hidden beneath the floorboards, little people called Borrowers live quietly among us. But when tenacious and tiny Arrietty is discovered by Shawn, a human boy, their secret and forbidden friendship blossoms into an extraordinary adventure. Featuring the voices of Disney Channel's Bridgit Mendler and David Henrie and comedic all-stars Will Arnett, Amy Poehler and Carol Burnett, and based on the award-winning novel THE BORROWERS -- THE SECRET WORLD OF ARRIETTY will delight families of all sizes! The Secret World of Arrietty is a remake of the magical fairy tale The Borrowers, as seen through the keen, imaginative eye of Japanese writer Hayao Miyazaki. The American version of this delicately, richly animated film is that rarest of children's movies--one that is a deeply engaging experience for adults as well. The visuals and graphics are gasp-inducing, yet never over the top or too showy. And the actors dubbing Arrietty in English, including standouts Amy Poehler, Will Arnett, and Carol Burnett, are expressive and emotive. The Secret World of Arrietty tells the tale of a small family of "borrowers," tiny people who live underneath the homes of the "beans" (human beings). The borrowers must stealthily gather small bits of items they need--a sugar cube, a sheet of tissue, biscuits--from the upstairs without being discovered by the beans. Arrietty is a plucky teenager (voice by Bridgit Mendler) whose parents (Poehler and Arnett) think she's ready for her first "borrowing" excursion. But meanwhile, a young "bean" named Shawn has moved into the house above them, to rest and prepare for a heart operation, and to be cared for by the flighty Hara (Burnett). Shawn thinks he might have seen… something… moving in the meadow where he rests and reads. It's not giving away too much to say that Arrietty and Shawn brush against each other's lives--and neither's is the same afterward. For any fans of Miyazaki's other films, and anyone of any age seeking immersive family-friendly entertainment that's life-affirming, The Secret World of Arrietty is a winning experience. --A.T. Review :
A Wondrous Film Going Experience...
This film is a must see for anyone who loves hand drawn animation. This is an experience filmgoers just don't get at the theater anymore and I praise studio Ghibli (and in tandem Disney as far as North America is concerned) for continuing this tradition. I also implore anyone who feels interested in seeing this film at any level go do so and support the studio, I would like to see them around for years to come and I don't think many will be disappointed with the experience.

First of all, no, Miyazaki didn't actually direct this time around. He only penned and planned the story along with other production guidance. So I'm okay with saying this arguably isn't Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, or Howl's Moving Castle, but this is that studio Ghibli magic you love. I feel it closely kindred to Kiki's Delivery Service or My Neighbor Totoro. I personally fail to see how any Studio Ghibli fan could walk away from this film unhappy. For that matter I fail to see how any child at...
This one is not to be missed
The Secret World of Arrietty is one of those rare films that only gets better with each additional viewing. Beyond the visual beauty and simple emotional honesty that engage you from the start, there's a world of seemingly endless detail that gradually emerges, giving the sense that you've entered into a deeply layered reality. The transitions from one shot to the next and from scene to scene are utterly masterful. Students of film making might study Arrietty to learn how all the elements of a film maker's vocabulary should be fit together for optimal effect.

I could go on and on like this, but the main thing I want to get across is that this is an unusually good movie--a rare pleasure for both eye and ear. (That last part has to do not only with the exceptional voice acting and sound effects, but also with the voice and harp of Cécile Corbel.) You really don't want to miss this one, whether...
"My heart is stronger because now I have you in it..." another wonderful Ghibli movie - a must see!
I was lucky to have won tickets to this movie's preview and took my family to see it in NYC this past weekend - what a treat! To be specific, we are a family of three with a teenager in high school, and everybody just loved this beautiful new animated movie that's perfect for all groups. As with all the movies Ghibli Studio produces, this is a rich visual masterpiece that you will really get lost in, with very life-like vegetation and insect life serving as a background for a seemingly simple, but very heartfelt story.

Mr. Miyazaki does not disappoint, retelling the original children's story "Borrowers" by Mary Norton and placing it in the present, with the main characters being Shawn, a sickly boy who is sent to live with his great aunt and her maid Hara, where he discovers a secret family of tiny people that includes husband and wife Pod and Homily and Arrietty, their 13-year-old daughter who is just learning to "borrow," something her kind does to survive. As the...
