Review :
The Evolution Of Jesse Stone: A Pitch Perfect Tom Selleck Headlines 8 Made-For-TV Endeavors
Note: A brief mention about pricing. While it's great to get all eight of the Jesse Stone films together in one convenient shipment, many have been around at bargain pricing for years. You may want to do a bit of shopping for a price configuration that makes sense to you if the ask here seems a little high.

Included:
2005: Stone Cold
2006: Night Passage
2006: Death In Paradise
2007: Sea Change
2009: Thin Ice
2010: No Remorse
2011: Innocents lost
2012: Benefit Of The Doubt

Tom Selleck is Jesse Stone! I don't know who author Robert B. Parker might have envisioned inhabiting his iconic small town police chief, but Selleck has certainly owned and perfected the role over the course of these 8 made-for-TV movies. Stone must surely be one of the most laid back heroes to ever grace the small screen and Selleck has perfected the minimalism necessary to make this character stand out. In the film world of quick cut editing, these...

This unique item delivers overtake the anticipation, this place has turned into a great replace on myself, The idea appeared safely as well as quickly Scream: Five-Film Set (Scream / Scream 2 / Scream 3 / Still Screaming: The Ultimate Scary Movie Retrospective / Scream: The Inside Story) [Blu-ray]

Scream: After a series of mysterious deaths befalls their small town, an offbeat group of friends led by Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) become the target of a masked killer in this smash-hit “clever thriller” (The Washington Post) that launched the Scream franchise and breathed new life into the horror genre.

Scream 2: Away at college, Sidney Prescott (Campbell) thought she’d finally put the shocking murders that shattered her life behind her…until a copycat killer begins acting out a real-life sequel. Now, as history repeats itself, ambitious reporter Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox), deputy Dewey (David Arquette) and other Scream survivors find themselves trapped in a terrifyingly clever plotline where no one is safe – or beyond suspicion – in this “delicious, diabolical and fun” (Rolling Stone) sequel.

Scream 3: While Sidney Prescott (Campbell) lives in safely guarded seclusion, bodies begin dropping around the Hollywood set of "Stab 3," the latest movie based on the gruesome Woodsboro killings. The escalating terror finally brings Sidney out of hiding, drawing her and the other survivors once again into an insidious game of horror movie mayhem that’s a “suspenseful, clever and very entertaining” (NBC-TV) installment in the wildly popular Scream franchise.Scream
With the smash hit Scream, novice screenwriter Kevin Williamson and veteran horror director Wes Craven (A Nightmare on Elm Street) revived the moldering corpse of the teen horror picture, both creatively and commercially, by playfully acknowledging the exhausted clichés and then turning them inside out. Scream is a postmodern slasher movie, a horror film that cleverly deconstructs horror films, then reassembles the dead tissue, and (like Frankenstein's monster) creates new life. When a serial killer starts hacking up their fellow teens, the media-savvy youngsters of Scream realize that the smartest way of sticking around for the sequel is to avoid the terminal behaviors that inevitably doom supporting players in the movies. They've seen all the movies, and the rules of the genre are like second nature to them. One of the scariest/funniest setups features a kid watching John Carpenter's seminal Halloween on video. As Jamie Lee Curtis is shadowed by Michael Meyers and the kid on the couch yells at her to turn around, Craven reverses his camera and we see that the kid should be taking his own advice. The fresh-faced young cast (including Drew Barrymore, Neve Campbell, Skeet Ulrich, Courtney Cox, and David Arquette) is fun to watch, and their tart dialogue is sprinkled with enough archly self-conscious pop-culture references to make Quentin Tarantino blush. --Jim Emerson

Scream 2
Fully aware of its status as the sequel to the surprise hit thriller of 1996, this lively follow-up trades freshness for familiarity, playing on our affection for returning characters while obeying--and then subverting--the "rules" of sequels. Once again, movie references are cleverly employed to draw us into the story, which takes place two years after the events of Scream, at a small Ohio college, where the Scream survivors reunite when another series of mysterious killings begins. Capitalizing on the guesswork involving a host of potential suspects, director Wes Craven and screenwriter Kevin Williamson have crafted a thriller that's more of a Scream clone than a genuinely inventive new story. But the shocks are just as effective, and escalating tension leads to a tautly staged climax that's simultaneously logical and giddily over the top. Background information for trivia buffs: to preserve the secrecy of plot twists, copies of the screenplay were heavily guarded during production and restricted to only the most crucial personnel. When an early draft was circulated on the Internet, screenwriter Kevin Williamson did rewrites, and subsequent drafts were printed with red ink on brown paper, eliminating the threat of photocopying. None of the cast members knew who the killer was until the final scenes were filmed! -- Jeff Shannon

Scream 3
When Randy the video geek rattles off the rules of surviving a horror movie in Wes Craven's Scream, he speaks for a generation of filmgoers who are all too aware of slasher movie clichés. Playfully scripted by Kevin Williamson with a self-aware wink and more than a few nods to its grandfathers (from Psycho to Halloween to the Friday the 13th dynasty), Scream skewers teen horror conventions with loving reverence while re-creating them in a modern, movie-savvy context. And so goes the series, which continues the satirical spoofing by tackling (what else?) sequels while sustaining its own self-contained mythology. Catty reporter Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) turns grisly murders into lurid bestsellers, a cult of killer wannabes continues to hunt spunky psycho-survivor Sydney Prescott (Neve Campbell) for their 15 minutes of fame, and a cheesy movie series (Stab) develops within the movie series.

Scream remains the high point of the series--a fresh take on a genre long since collapsed into routine, but Scream 2 spoofs itself with witty humor ("Why would anyone want to do that? Sequels suck!" opines college film student Randy), and delights with more elaborate set pieces and all-new rules for surviving a horror movie sequel. The endangered veterans of the original film reunite one last time for Scream 3, which plays out on the movie set of Stab 3. (It's a trilogy within a trilogy!) With Williamson gone, replacement screenwriter Ehran Kruger tries to mine the formula one more time. It's a little tired by now, and pale imitations (Urban Legend, I Know What You Did Last Summer) have further drained the zeitgeist, but the film bubbles with bright humor, and director Craven is stylistically at the top of his game. As a trilogy, it remains both the most consistently entertaining and self-aware horror series ever made. --Sean Axmaker

Still Scary: The Ultimate Scary Movie Retrospective / Scream: The Inside Story

As most horror devotees already know, the Scream franchise was fraught with production troubles from its inception through its fourth and apparently final entry, and the two documentaries included on the fourth disc of the Scream collector's set (both of which are feature length, which explains the confusion over the set's "5 Film" label) represent the first attempt to bring together a cohesive portrait of the series' behind-the-scenes history. Both Still Scary: The Ultimate Scary Movie Retrospective, by ShockTilYouDrop.com editor Ryan Turek, and Scream: The Inside Story, which was produced for the Biography Channel by much of the same creative team behind the epic Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy, cover the same ground, which is director Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson's struggles with the MPAA, producers Bob and Harvey Weinstein, and a myriad of other outside forces throughout the series through interviews with many of the production principals, most notably stars Neve Campbell, David Arquette, and Jamie Kennedy (Williamson and Courteney Cox are conspicuously absent from both projects). Still Scary offers the more comprehensive presentation, thanks largely to its inclusion of such less well-known players as Scream 3 scribe Ehren Kruger, who capably defends his much-maligned script, and offers welcome touches of visual and editorial style in its "quick cuts" segments, which present tidbits of info that, while not entirely germane to the documentary's main thrust, provide the sort of detail that dedicated fans of the series will love. The Inside Story delves deeply into pre-production issues, from Craven's reluctance to helm the series to the battle over Ghost Face's iconic mask and costume. In-depth discussions of the characters through dialogue readings by the original cast and screen tests, as well as split-screen comparisons between the original NC-17 edit and the R-rated theatrical cut, are equally invaluable. Though some viewers may argue with the documentaries' conceit that the Scream franchise reinvented the horror genre--reinvigorated is a more accurate description--the wealth of information presented in both films sets the bar for future horror documentaries. --Paul Gaita

All Questions Answered! Full Details Revealed!
Since Lions Gate has been mum on the details/specs of this set, never even issuing a press release containing any info., I thought I'd take this opportunity to answer many of the unanswered questions for those who have yet to order:

1. The 3 movies are the exact same blu-rays that were released separately. Right down to the now dated ads and trailers that you cannot skip past. Same extra features (not many), same picture, same everything -- outside of the discs themselves which are all that generic grey "rental" version looking disc with no individual artwork. There is, as expected, NO director's cut of the original film included.

2. The 2 documentaries are on 1 disc, despite this being labeled as a 5 disc set when I (and many others) ordered it.

3. The 2 documentaries are in partial HD. "Scream: The Inside Story" goes between 1080i, 720p and 480p. The only parts in 480p are clips of the actual Scream movies. The rest, for unknown reasons (I suspect a...

The Perfect [Horror] DVD Set!
September 26th was a date etched in my brain. I could not wait for the arrival of the "Scream Trilogy: Box Set" let me tell you, it was worth the wait. Besided being the most successful horror series EVER, (yes people, even better than all 27 Friday the 13ths) it's really smart. The dialogue, characters and plot twists are exceptional. Of course, being directed by the MASTER of horror and suspense, Wes Craven, made it even better. This set is absolutely perfect. Each of the Scream films, all in widescreen, with Dolby Digital surround sound, audio commentary and loads of extras. The Scream extras include: 3 Behind The Scenes featurettes, trailers, TV Spots, Q&A with the cast and crew, special effect gallery, film facts etc. Scream 2's extras include: outtakes, deleted scenes, Production Featurette, music videos, trailer, TV Spots etc. Finally, Scream 3's DVD includes: Outtakes, Deleted Scenes, Alternate Ending, Trailers, TV Spots, music video, Behind the Scenes...
Excellent Box Set!
When I review a movie, especially a box set, I base my review on the bonus material and quality of the set in general. I think most people who buy movies from Amazon have usually seen the movies they are buying already.

The Scream Ultimate Collection is truly that! This box set is assembled very nicely and uses the plastic (not cardboard) cases for the DVDs. I prefer the plastic cases for durability! This set also includes a fourth disc packed with bonus material. Here's a break-down of what's on each disc besides the movie.

DBZ Fan!
DBZ is the best action anime of all time, and the DBZ movie pack 2 containes one of the best DBZ movies of all, (Broly,The Legendary Super Sayian). This is a must have for all DBZ and anime fans!

4 of the best DBZ movies
It's Dbz, what's not to like lol. Seriously if you're a fan, this is a must buy, this 4 movies are 4 of the best Dbz movies, at least IMO. This collection contains 4 movies, 2 cases contains 2 movies a piece, very simple. Starting with The Return of Cooler then Super Andriod 13, Broly : The Legendary Super Saiyan, ending with Bojack Unbound (my fav). I highly recommend this collection, each of the movies have been remastered, so the DVD quality looks great, it actually looks of BlueRay quality. Definitely buy this, if you're a fan, you absolutely can't go wrong with this collection.

Great DBZ Collection!
Four great movies starting with Metal Cooler, Super Android 13, Broly the legendary Super Saiyan, and ending with Bojack and his crew. The quality is great and the movie is uncensored (just blood showing) like it originally should be. If your looking for the best DBZ has to offer, this collection comes very close, awesome action is always present but there are DBZ movies with better animations and destruction in them. If your a true fan this is a must own!

It was a gift.
I sent these movies to my older brother for Christmas. I remember him watching Dragon Ball Z while we were younger and I never understood while he liked this anime series so much, . . until my boyfriend got a hold of the Dragon Ball series, Dragon Ball Z series, and the Dragon Ball GT series. I literally watched every episode with my boyfriend non stop, until we we got somewhere in GT, because GT wasn't as good as Dragon Ball Z in my opinion, I digress, these series are amazing in every way. The story of Goku and his friends is absolutely amazing, you get to know every character and you feel like your a part of this badass story, this is one of my most favorite anime series of all time, In fact it is my number one choice and in my opinion the best. To wrap things up I made my brother very happy with this gift and I'm sure if you know anyone who was or is a Dragon Ball fan they would really enjoy these movies.

Childhood
Nothing but perfection! The quality is excellent and being able to see your favorite superheros on DVD is priceless. Kids and adults will love this collection of movies.

Awesome Collection
I love DragonBall Z since I was little. To have this collection in my procession is amazing to me because for a long time I couldn't find the movies for DBZ. Now that technology has changed since then a lot of remakes are being made. This version is from the original Japanese intro and outros. I grew up on the 90s version of the intro and outros so for this one I was a bit surprised but the picture is clear as it can be. It a WONDERFUL collection. I just love it. If you are a DBZ fan, you must get it.

Review :
Good first set
I've had all the "orange brick" Dragon Ball Z season boxes for a good while now, but always wanted to get the movies too. I kept putting it off because the single DVDs for all the movies were a bit expensive, especially since I was planning on owning them all at some point. Then I saw these movie packs being released and I jumped at the chance to finally get the movies.

Since I have never owned the DBZ movies, this purchase was a no-brainer for me. The box itself houses the 5 movies in 3 separate slim cases which I thought was a nice touch. No booklets or anything this time, just the movies themselves which is sort of a bummer but not a deal breaker. Quality wise the animation looks crisp and I've enjoyed watching these, most of them for the first time.

I look forward to purchasing the rest of these movie packs.

Good for quality bad for nostalgia trips
I loved DBZ ever since i was 4 years and was an advid fan. I bought this box set as a way to relive that childhood. Particularly with the movie the tree of might. But one thing i forgot to include in choosing this box set is that the first three movies do not include the original pioneer dub. Which is okay if its your first time watching dbz or its movies. But for me it made the voice acting weak and a bit cheesy. Which really took away the essence of the movie tree of might. (Which i consider the best of the first three DBZ movies) Since i watched it a thousand times i couldnt help but compare how much better the voice acting was in the original dub. So instead of watching the tree of might with same attention, focus, and astonishment i found myself just fast forwarding to the fight scenes. But besides that the quality is really good the audio sounds way better and its definately good for the price. Apart from the first 3 movies i would rate this box set and the rest of the...
Great set, very cost effective.
I've owned all the DBZ movie singles for several years, but I decided to pick this up for the upgrade in visual quality and presentation during a flash sale. This is a great replacement to my previous discs, as the original covers are retained (and apparently upgraded), the remastering makes the film look much better, and the widescreen presentation matches how the movies were originally shown at Shonen Jump festivals in Japan when the movies were coming out. The only drawback is that the dub isn't very consistent with the original Japanese, but the subtitles for the original version are great and I've enjoyed watching all the movies again for such an efficient price.

One of those rare movies that's equally entertaining to kids and adults
We saw this movie because my 8-year-old said, "Daddy, can we go see The Lego Movie?!" so away we went.

So to the question of entertainment value, as I said in the subject line, the adults and kids both seemed highly entertained. We were in a full theatre and one gentleman in particular seemed to be outrageously entertained with his incontinent guffawing. The kids were, of course, entertained enough and the movie had humor working on all levels from the youngest kids to the adults, though nothing REALLY adult, if you get my drift.

As to production quality of the movie, I was extremely impressed with the level of visual detail. I had assumed that since the Lego world is, of necessity, rather low resolution, that the movie might be clunky but they didn't shy away from high-definition situations. Seeing Legos animated into an undulating ocean, explosions, fire or billowing smoke and dust was particularly surprising. In a similar vein, if you go see this movie be sure...
The definitive edition of an innovative movie
First of all, I'd like to speak about the movie itself (especially seeing that most reviews posted at the moment are complaints about the service, not reviews of the movie). LEGO Movie is potentially one of the most innovative animated movies released to date. While the digital LEGO interaction formula was explored before in video games (LEGO Star Wars and multiple sequels that followed), it's the first time we see the potential of digital Legos being used so much in a feature-length animated movie in both 2D and 3D. This movie takes every single thing done with Lego digitally before and takes it to a new level. Not only the environments and the characters are all Lego (obviously), but also, for the first time that I know of, all the environmental and special effects including water, lasers, explosions and what have you are made of Lego as well and modeled and animated in a very convincing and realistic manner. In addition to the high technical level of the movie I'd like to mention...
Lego Movie entertaining for kids and adults
I was skeptical especially in the beginning. I am 43 years old and I loved this movie. It has some sort of endearing humor that really had me laughing. My 12 year old son and I quoted several scenes on the way home laughing hard. If you want to escape from stress and just smile, go see this movie. My favorite character....Lego Batman. Hilarious.

Review :
The Nautica nonsense and humor from the famed talkng Sponge is just as much fun for fans, kids and adults
Whether it was Plankton trying to steal the secret Krabby patty formula, Spongebob and Patrick deciding to go alien hunting in Sandy's rocket, Or Spongebob singing the Campfire song, I have definitely seen more than my fair share of Spongebob episodes. And today I finally saw the movie, The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.

As the movie begins to unfold, we see Plankton who is at the moment using many different tools to try and once again get his hands on the Krabby patty secret formula. Using a penny, Plankton manages to ease his way into Mr. Krabs's safe and it would appear that Plankton has finally gotten what he has been so desperately trying to get. Spongebob manages to walk in just in the nick of time, and a tug of war ensues for possession of the formula until something mysterious happens to the formula. Things quickly go from bad to worse-and in the most unlikely of events, Spongebob and Plankton must team up in order to rescue the Krabby patty formula...
Awesomeness!!!!👍👍👍
This is AWESOMENESS! I love spongebob! I've seen each episode at least 20 times, and the 1st movie about 15 times! When I saw this movie, I didn't even want to blink it was so good! Every single second was filled with awesome. The teamwork song was kinda cheesy, but I still give the movie 900,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

Review :
A teenager's review...
I watched "A Goofy Movie" tonight when I was babysitting. The kids loved it and I enjoyed it too. This movie contains enough of the little things to be appealing to children of all ages...including teens...like me. I don't think I've seen a better Disney movie. This one has to be my faveorite. The music was good for people of all ages and I have been searching the internet for the soundtrack. It's not every day that you see a teenager rave about PG movie. Excellent Job Disney!

The coolest Disney movie around!
I first saw this movie when I was in 4th. grade. My babysitter had it first, but her kids are older and they don't watch it anymore. I watched it two times in a row in one day and fell in love with it! My babsitter asked if I wanted it. I sayed you bet I do! I love the addictive songs and the catchy music! I have the soundtrack too. It's about an uncool teenager, Max (voiced by Jason Marsden) who wants to act cool. But it's hard for him to act cool when his dad is "Goofy." (voiced by Bill Farmer) Everyone in his highschool always laughs at him because his dad always kisses him in front of everyone, and he falls over sometimes. But Max really likes this one girl, Roxanne. (voiced by Kelly Martin) Roxanne doesn't think he's goofy or wierd at all. But Max isn't so sure how to make her like him-except on the last day of school he thinks up a plan with his two buddies. So in front of the whole school he impresses her by doing a dance to his favorite music by the coolest rockstar...
Disney's most underrated animated feature.
A Goofy Movie is my favorite Disney animated movie of all time. Hands down. It's almost never mentioned by uppity film critics, a lot of Disney fans usually forget it, and it isn't exactly a 'masterpiece' like Snow White with stunning animation, but it definitely holds its own. I watched it back when it came out, and I loved it. Remembering this, I saw it sitting on a shelf at the store and decided to give it another shot to see if it stood the test of time and my being 25 now. It did. If anything, it only got better. Before The Incredibles, there was another Disney film that brought families close together. And that, was A Goofy Movie, believe it or not. Go ahead and laugh, because I wouldn't believe it if someone told me that too. Goofy, bringing families closer together? Insane! But it's not. Goofy is a great character for this kind of movie about a teenager growing distant from his dad. While it's a good one for families, it's even better if you're a single dad with a son. While...

The Secrets of Sodor
My adult children climbed aboard this amazing saga back during the George Carlin era. Now that the grandson has become interested I have another excuse to once again enjoy these wonderfully relaxing adventures. This product listing has the typical vacuum of information so I thought to pass along a description I found over at the TTTE Wikia;

Happy Birthday, Thomas The Tank Engine!
One of the greatest Thomas movies that I have ever seen

disappointing
I found Thomas to be way too over-the-top obnoxious in this one. My kids still liked it, though so I guess that's all that matters.
